The circular vibrating screen is the standard sizing machine in dry crushing circuits. How it works

Wet vs dry and screen media

For wet sizing or fine cuts in slurry, a linear or high-frequency screen may suit better, but for dry, coarse classification after crushing the circular screen is the cost-effective choice. The biggest operating issues are blinding and pegging on near-size and damp feed; polyurethane media with tapered apertures resists both and lasts longer than wire on abrasive ore.
